Our two older kiddos worked with the wonderful Ms. Anna Claire and Ms. Bailey, and they were absolute rockstars—patient, kind, and they worked magic with our kids’ speech. Now, our youngest has been with Ms. Emily for the past year, tackling childhood apraxia of speech, and I genuinely believe much of her progress is a direct result of Ms. Emily’s dedication. Ms. Emily hasn’t just been teaching our daughter how to speak more clearly, she has also connected with her on a personal level and became a fierce advocate. Let’s be real, outside the speech world, most people have no idea what apraxia even is (myself included, until we were in it). Ms. Emily has gone above and beyond in her role, even helping us explain things to schools and teachers.
